Being Real...

I love that I have found such relief in the past few months just by being "real" with my friends. It's been so freeing sharing my struggles, and learning about so many of my good friends. It makes me feel so "normal" after these conversations and knowing that NONE of us are perfect!

My friend posted this up on facebook tonight...and what a good reminder to all of us that we can stop acting and pretending that things are perfect!

You walk on waves, You run with clouds...

Where can I go
Where can I run from You
You're everywhere

You know all my thoughts
You see through my ways
And still You come to me
And so I sing a love song to You
And so I sing a love song to You

From Heaven above
Earth down beneath
Your love rains down on me

You know all my thoughts
You see through my skin
And still You come to me
And so I sing a love song to You
And so I sing a love song to You

You walk on waves
You run with clouds
You paint the sky for me to see
Your majesty
Your majesty is why I sing

And this is a love song for You
And this is a love song for You
And this is a love song for You
And this is a love song for You

You walk on waves
You run with clouds
You paint the sky for me to see
Your majesty
Your majesty is why I sing

Yes it's all for You
In my life a love song to You
In my life a love song to You
Everything I do
In my life a love song to You
In my life a love song to You
In my life a love song to You

Tomatoes on the Block...

So, as most of you know, I'm not very impulsive...oh, wait, maybe I am. So last year I did my fabulous, or maybe not-so-fabulous community garden that yielded very little produce...maybe because I didn't water it very often...but it was too far away. Or maybe just 5 minutes...but it was too much. So my wonderful husband built me this planter for our porch for my birthday! So we could have some fresh things right outside our door...and maybe they would get watered. But sometimes they still don't. ;)

These are my tomatoes from my planter this year! It's funny because a lot of our neighbors planted tomatoes, and there's didn't grow at all! People said mine wouldn't grow because we only get a little morning sun, and there's are full afternoon sun. There's were little scrawny plants, with a few tomatoes. And mine. Mine grew, and grew, we cut back (which was so hard for me to do, I had to watch as branch after branch was taken to compost), and they still grew! They finally grew up so high that they fell over the railing, so we let them go. It's been fun every day to show our boys how things grow from a few inches, to so big! And then seeing the tomatoes grow from flowers to red tomatoes has been a test of their patients, many tomatoes were picked green and thrown to the animals in the forest out back...but now the tomatoes are really being harvested!

These pictures are from a few weeks ago, and now there are new tomatoes ready every day for our salad! It's been fun to hear my boys ask every morning to go and water them, and to hear them ask for a salad for lunch so we can eat our tomatoes. Another fun project with my boys! We also have other fresh herbs and aloe vera growing out there...all organically!

Potential...

Babysitting Maddie while her mommy hit the gym:) She didn't really get any attention...

This sweet, beautiful girl is on the potential list of girls Noah is allowed to marry. There are 3-4 girls on this list, but she is SUCH a sweet girl and Noah loves her so much! It's actually quite funny how much he loves her. He ALWAYS wants to hold her when we are together, and then when he does, he asks everyone to go away. He likes to be alone with her...oh boy, what am I going to do when my boys get older?

He talks so sweetly in a little high voice and says, "Hi Maddie girl, hi sweetie heart!" and is always trying to make her smile. I love seeing this side of him, and NO, we are not having any more babies of our own.

I LOVe her face here, she looks so upset with Noah already!

Dance Party!

This morning we were groovin' with Katy Perry. We were dancing and Noah was trying to learn the words, and as soon as he heard the word popsicle, he was in! So, we had popsicles and danced our booties off. Love mornings like this with my boys!

Kruger Farms

Last week we went out to Kruger Farms on Sauvie's Island for their little Thursday night good-old-fashioned fun. We went with our friends and the kids got to run and run and run. We felt like we had gone back in time, and sometimes it's fun to expose our boys to something totally different then what we normally do! We visited the farm store, walked through the flower gardens, and went on a hay ride that was WAY to crowded...

Noah enjoying some fresh corn on the cob!
The Dad's...Scott, Andrew, and Werner
Our little set-up:)
Jakey-boy and a beautiful sunset.
Hot Mamas...me, Meagan, and Sarah
Beautiful baby Kai!
Here's a little video of the boys dancing to the music, it's really dark.

The Dump

Noah had a friend over the other day to play. We swam, but before we left, the boys were busy at work with something. I was getting ready, so just let them play. Then when they called me in to see their special "project," I got to see the dump that they created! I will give them credit, it was kind of cute. They put the toys in a dump truck, drove it to Jakey's crib, dumped it in there, then put it in my laundry hamper, and then dumped that into the "dump" they created on the floor. Gotta love a little hard work!

My goof-balls

Sorry I haven't been a faithful blogger lately, but I'll get back into it. Here is my goofy Noah, he was trying to be funny and came into my room with his pants hiked up high like Papa! Just kidding dad, I love you, even if we do have to tell you to pull your pants down a little;) I love that he knew he was being funny, and is doing more and more things like that! Everything about this picture with the swords reminds me of Ryan Holland! The way he's standing, a boy without a shirt on, and the playing with swords:)
What a nutty boy!

Here's a video of the boys dancing the other night. About 1/2 way through they start hitting eachother, and then Noah says, "I don't want to play that." Like it's a game. Oh boys. Love them! (For some reason it's huge, so you have to click on it a few times until it opens in a new window...sorry!) Now off to what could be our last day at the pool for the summer!
